A scout is courteous…

A scout is always courteous, never rude, and always mind his or her manners.

• Someone who is courteous is mindful of how his or her words and actions affect others.
• Someone who is courteous shows respect to other people, young or old.
• Someone who is courteous is polite and friendly, even if it is hard.
• Someone who is courteous is not rude to other, even people he or she doesn’t like.
• Someone who is courteous is careful not to offend the people around him or her.

When you are courteous to others, they will respond with courtesy.
